Because of The Queen’s death we have postponed our Harvest Festival services from Sunday, September 18th to Sunday, October 9th.
On October 9th there will be services at all three churches – 9.30am at St John’s, 10am at St George’s and 10am at St Mark’s where the celebrations will start with Apple Day (apple-pressing, apple snacks, apple juice and apple-y music) followed by the Harvest Service at around 11am.
There will be collections of non-perishable food for the local Foodbank so please think of this when you are shopping.

At 6pm on Sunday 11th at St George’s there will be a Book of Common Prayer, Evening Prayer, Accession Service: the Proclamation of the new Monarch.
At 6pm today, 9th September, at St George’s church, Badshot Lea, there will be a Book of Common Prayer, Evening Prayer service. Suitably short and sombre, praying for King and remembering the Queen.
With profound sadness, we join the nation in mourning our beloved Queen.
Services on Sunday, September 18th, will include prayers for the Royal Family and our nation:
9:30am at St John’s, Hale (Hale Road)
10:00am at St George’s, Badshot Lea (crossroads of Badshot Lea Road and St George’s Road)
11:00am at St Mark’s, Upper Hale (next to Tesco’s Express) on Alma Lane

Here is your September magazine, chock full of news and events for the next month, including a welcome to David and Nabila Camp, who have come to the parish while David is training for ordained ministry.
