Serving Others

Being a Christian means loving and serving others in our local Community and in the wider world – being Christ to those who we meet. These pages show some of the ways in which we serve and we are always delighted when others want to work alongside us:

Connections is a group for over 50s every other Tuesday from 10-11:30, just come along to St George’s church and enjoy a cup of coffee, some cake and various activities.Contact Bill and Annie on 01252 334462

We host the Foodbank on Wednesdays 11am-1pm at St Mark’s Church, Alma Lane

We are part of Hale Community Project which seeks to bring a sense of community cohesion and fun to the residents of Hale – if you have any good ideas for events then please tell us!

Supporting Charities – we give away a percentage of our income to two designated charities each year, normally one local charity and one that serves people further afield.

We are also part of Churches Together in Farnham, which does more than just worship together – we aim to serve our community in practical ways too.

Bishop Sumner Education Fund – the clergy and others in the Parish are trustees of this charity which helps those who need funds for education.

Hale Cottage Trust – the clergy are also trustees for the Hale Cottage Trust which provides money for those in need in Hale.
