Autumn is just hinting at its return – and Christmas gifts have already started appearing in the shops – so that means it is time for another magazine.
Our bumper autumn magazine is out now with its mix of news, reports, events, reflections and prayer. Alongside the reports of activities and news of those to come, there are Christmas dates for you to put in your diary. Among these is our second Christmas Tree Festival on December 4-6, and our Christmas Craft Market on November 21. There are also carol services, Nativity plays, Midnight Mass, Christingles and Christmas morning services.
We also have details of Remembrance and All Souls’ services, of Harvest services and our pet service, and plenty more to fill your diaries.
If you have lost a close friend or family member and would like an opportunity to remember them and light a candle for them, we are holding ‘All Souls’ services’ this weekend. These simple services of music, prayer and reflection will take place as follows:
St John’s, Hale (near the Six Bells roundabout) on Saturday, November 2 at 4pm; St Mark’s, Upper Hale (next to Tesco Express) on Sunday, November 3 at 11am; and St George’s, Badshot Lea (opposite the school) on Sunday, November 3 at 5.30pm.
During the services you will have the opportunity to light a candle in memory of the person or people you have lost.
If you would like any support following the death of a loved one, please contact Rev’d Stella Wiseman, 07842761919.
At these three simple services we will be lighting candles to remember those who have died.
St John’s at 6:30pm on Sat 28th Oct,
St Mark’s at 11:00am on Sun 29th Oct and
St George’s at 4:00pm on Sun 29th Oct
Please stay for coffee and cake after the services.
If you would like a loved one remembered at one of these services please bring their name on a piece of paper to the service. For more information contact Lesley on 01252 820537 or revd.lesley@badshotleaandhale.org
