Harvest Festival postponed

Because of The Queen’s death we have postponed our Harvest Festival services from Sunday, September 18th to Sunday, October 9th.

On October 9th there will be services at all three churches – 9.30am at St John’s, 10am at St George’s and 10am at St Mark’s where the celebrations will start with Apple Day (apple-pressing, apple snacks, apple juice and apple-y music) followed by the Harvest Service at around 11am.

There will be collections of non-perishable food for the local Foodbank so please think of this when you are shopping.

Craft Market and free lunch

We are holding our Craft Market at St Mark’s, Upper Hale, tomorrow (Saturday 17th) 10am-2pm, and offering a free Harvest lunch from noon.

There will be a slideshow in memory of The Queen and a place to light candles for her.

Please come and join us, listen to live music, enjoy a free lunch, and support businesses while buying gifts and treats. It’s also a chance to see the Kitty Milroy murals.

A Moment of Reflection – Vigil for The Queen

Farnham will be holding A Moment of Reflection: a vigil for The Queen, on Sunday, 18th September, the evening before her funeral. The commemoration will take place in Gostrey Meadow, Farnham, GU9 7PT, with the lighting of candles from 7.30pm.

Please gather for the vigil at 7.45pm near to the bandstand. In Farnham, the minute’s silence with be signalled by a whistle, this will be piped by Farnham, Fleet and Aldershot Sea Cadets.

People can hold this minute’s silence anywhere, or come join together in Gostrey Meadow on Sunday evening; everybody is welcome.

There is a book of condolence in the Byworth Suite, Farnham Town Hall, South Street, Farnham which is available for people to sign until the end of the period of national mourning during office hours, which are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm.
