The Third Annual Fun Quiz was a great night. We welcomed a mix of Parishioner’s, family and friends.
The ‘singing’ Quiz Master returned to St George’s to host the evening and challenge the teams on subjects from their General Knowledge to their memory recall in the Generation Game! Tastebuds were exercised in the juice round and even Trumpton and Camberwick Green took centre stage. There was lots of fun and laughter and the quiz culminated in the quick fire Lego round.
The Quiz and raffle raised an amazing £400 for church funds.
Thank you to everyone who came and took part and we hope to see more of you next year.

Another great ‘Fun Parish Quiz Night’ on Saturday the 7th of May held at St George’s –
A plethora of quizzers from the three churches and beyond gathered to wrack their brains from the topical to the obscure, searching the corners of their minds for the answers on topics from Europe to films, fact or myth, the Olympics and guessing and tasting crisp flavours. There were even chants for our quiz master to sing the answers to the music round, which he obliged, much to the audiences delight. There were lots of laughs with the quick fire final round, dressing in a hat, tie, gloves and glasses before the answer was given!
We want to say ‘Thank You’ to everyone who was a great sport and helped make the event so successful, even with a couple of seats to spare we still took almost £230 for church funds.

Every chair was taken and every table was used at St George’s Church Rooms last night as we packed in for the Quiz Night. No real idea how many people were there – over a hundred. Carrie and Jason Grafham, helped by Mat and Christine Brown put on a great evening. The idea wasn’t to make money – it was to have fun – but I think somewhere between £400-£600 pounds was made for church funds. Thanks to all who helped!
