Clothes and equipment needed for refugees

There will be a collection for refugees run by Farnham Help for Refugees, at William Cobbett Primary School, Weybourne Road, Farnham, GU9 9ER, on Friday, March 22nd, 4.30-7pm.

The following items are needed:

CLOTHING
(Good condition only)

  • SUMMER CLOTHES
    For men – sizes S, M, L only
    For women, teens, children – all sizes
  • BRAND NEW UNDERWEAR & SOCKS
  • WALKING SHOES & TRAINERS
  • ADULT FOOTBALL KIT
    (no formal clothes)

SPECIFIC CLOTHING

  • Men’s clothing is specifically needed
  • Mid- & long-length women’s cardigans [all sizes]
  • Women’s jumpers, size 20
  • Babygros, size 12-18m, 18-24m
  • Trainers for men, women, children [good
    condition please]

TOYS & GAMES

  • ‘That’s not my…’ books
  • Shape sorters
  • Stacking rings
  • Mega blocks / stickle bricks / duplo
  • Lego
  • Orchard toy games
  • Connect 4
  • Guess Who
  • Chess, Backgammon

    OTHER
  • Suitcases
  • Large holdalls & rucksacks
  • Sleeping bags
  • Small tents [1-4 man]

Please do not bring items outside this list and please do not bring dirty or damaged items.

PLEASE SORT ALL CLOTHES INTO SEPARATE, LABELLED BAGS, FOR:
Men; Women; Children; Shoes; Football kit.

Farnham Help for Refugees are holding a collection on Friday, 17th, from 4-7pm at William Cobbett School, Weybourne Road.

They need:

CLOTHING
Winter and summer clothes.
For men they need sizes S, M and L only.
For women, teens and children all sizes are needed.
NEW underwear for all the above sizes.
Trainers – teens and men.
Adult football boots (sizes 6-10 only) and football gear.

NO formal clothes – suits/office wear.

BAGS
School/college bags.
Backpacks.
Suitcases.

TECHNOLOGY
Smartphones with chargers.

TOYS
(Good condition only)
Small toys (simple toys, no battery-operated toys).

They cannot accept anything not on the list, nor can they accept dirty or damaged items.

Refugee donations

With the Afghanistan refugee crisis escalating, many Afghans have fled their homes with few possessions and some of them are seeking refuge in this country. Farnham Help for Refugees is collecting donations to be distributed to refugees in and around London, and, thanks to an already overwhelming response, is now asking for just toiletries, men’s clothes and mobile phones.

If you can help, please bring donations to any of the church services – Sundays, St John’s at 9.30am, St George’s at 10am and St Mark’s at 11am; or Wednesdays, St Mark’s at 12pm, or drop them off at St John’s which is open during the day. There will be boxes available in each church. If you can’t come to the services but want to give, please call the administrator on 07842761919 or email admin@badshotleaandhale.org.

There will be a specific collection day later in the year; we will let you know when.
