St Mark’s will be buzzing on Saturday, September 20th, when we hold our Autumn Craft Market, starting at 10am and running until 2pm.
Come and browse the stalls for toys, handknits, cards, jewellery, needlecraft and all manner of gifts. There is live music and a café to meet you friends for a cuppa and eat homemade rolls and cakes.
What’s more, you can see the beautiful Kitty Milroy murals, painted in the early 20th century and restored in 2021. These have been recognised as nationally important in the development of mural art and an exceptional example of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
It’s free to enter and always a lovely atmosphere.
It’s Coffee Artz again this week, on Thursday, May 18th, 10.30am to 12noon, and the theme is Spring.
Everyone is welcome to join in and help create a picture of Springtime which will then be made into cards to sell.
Coffee Artz takes place on the first and third Thursday of each month and each time the group takes a different theme to inspire the art. No artistic skill is needed, no experience is needed and the equipment is all provided. Coffee, chat and cake are also provided!
It’s St Mark’s Day on April 25th, and, never ones to need an excuse for a party, we are celebrating on the Sunday before, April 23rd, at our 11am service at St Mark’s Church, Upper Hale.
Come along and find out about St Mark, then celebrate with cake, balloons and a lot of friendly chat. It’s very informal and all ages are welcome.
Are you a seeker? Do you enjoy informal, creative services for all ages?
Come to our next Seekers service on Sunday, February 5 at 4pm at St John’s. There will be music, craft, a story, prayers, and sandwiches and cakes to follow. What’s not to like?!
Family service, with carols, for all ages – December 4th, 4pm
Come to our family service on Sunday, December 4th at 4pm at St John’s, and help us create an Advent wreath, and sing Christmas carols.
All ages are welcome at the service – not just families with children – and we need your help to create the wreath. There will be carols and prayers and it will be followed by sandwiches and cakes (see the picture below…)
