Rene’s Blankets

Rene’s Blankets is run by Rene and two of her relatives. Rene crochets and knits lovely things and we sell them for her, to raise money for charity. This year, she has chosen to support Albella Boys’ Home, in Kalimpong, India. Albella Boys Home and school gives free education to over 240 boys, mostly aged 5-19, who have lost one parent, and sometimes both. It also gives education to 40 non-resident girls. You can read more about Albella, here:

Rene has been busy making not just blankets but also small Christmas gifts and she’s delighted to be able to support the Badshot Lea and Hale virtual art and craft fair. Buying from Rene’s Blankets will bring cosiness into your home and raise funds to keep the boys cosy at Albella too. Albella means ‘unique’ in Sanskrit, which fits Rene’s gifts to a tee! 100% of the purchase price for each gift goes direct to Albella. Postage and packing incur an additional, small charge, which helps to keep Rene’s Blankets sustainable.

For details of how to buy and for more photographs, please see @RenesBlankets on Facebook. If you see something there that you’d like, or you’d like more information about anything there, please message the page and I’ll get back to you. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
