The Mothers’ Union provides its members with a prayer resource called Families Worldwide.

This resource contains articles on the work of members in many countries throughout the world. It also has a thought for the week on our Christian lives and daily prayer topics relating to that thought. Every Diocese which has a MU member is allocated a few days throughout the year when all members remember and pray for them and their work. This can take place at noon where members say mid-day prayers for the work we undertake and Intercessions for the church and the world. Obviously mid-day in India is not the same as mid-day in England so there is, what we call, a Wave of Prayer taking place throughout the year.

If you would like to join in with some of our four million members wherever it is noon, here is the Mothers’ Union prayer:-

Loving Lord, We thank you for your love so freely given to us all. We pray for families around the world. Bless the work of the Mothers’ Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life. Empowered by your spirit may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world.
